Elaina Lynn Valencia Death, Obituary: Augusta Highway Two-Vehicle Fatality Lexington County

With deep sadness, we honor the life of Elaina Lynn Valencia, who tragically passed away on the evening of January 31, 2026, following a devastating two-vehicle accident on Augusta Highway in Lexington County. At just 39 years old, her death has left a tremendous void in the lives of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office reports that the accident occurred around 7:10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Augusta Highway. Elaina, a Batesburg resident, was traveling southbound when hazardous road conditions caused her vehicle to cross the center line, resulting in a collision with a northbound vehicle. Despite efforts by emergency responders, Elaina was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Elaina’s vehicle was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment, while the driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were also transported for medical care. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, along with the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, is continuing to investigate the incident.
